PKR POLLS | The PKR election has hit yet another snag after votes were reported missing in Perak today, marking the second such incident in this year's polls.
According to the New Straits Times, some 100 votes were missing from the Ipoh Barat PKR division, which in turn halted the tallying of final results for the state.
"A total of 470 voters turned up today and 12 doubtful votes were recorded, leaving only 458 votes to be counted.
"However out of the 458 votes, only 356 votes managed to be keyed in into our system at the headquarters," PKR chief invigilator Mohd Hatta Marzuki was quoted as saying.
He gave his assurance that the issue was being attended to and that the final results for Perak should be out by tonight.
PKR deputy presidential candidate Rafizi Ramli claims to have bagged 6,700 votes in Perak, against 4,359 votes for incumbent Azmin Ali.
Previously, it was reported that some 2,000 votes went missing in Negeri Sembilan and Malacca.
PKR is still deliberating whether to hold full or partial re-elections in those two states.
